A glass bead thermistor that is present in the Dyson Airwrap™ styler transmits data to the machine’s microprocessor which intelligently controls the heating element, keeping the temperature below 150 degrees Celsius at all times to prevent extreme heat damage.

Each pair of barrels has one clockwise and one anti-clockwise barrel, to create symmetrical curls and waves. A quick tip on how to use the barrels: Touch the barrel to the tips of your hair. The air automatically wraps your hair around the barrel, so you don’t have to twist it. Slowly bring the curler towards your scalp and let it wrap up your hair. Leave it in place for 15 seconds to dry your hair. Then follow with a cool shot to set your curl. Look for the arrows on the barrel. Make sure they're pointing away from you.

The magnetic filter shroud is easy-to-remove for cleaning when needed. This is positioned at the end handle, so no risk of hair getting trapped. The LED light will also beep when it’s time for cleaning. Simply take out the filter and soak in hot, soapy water and let it air dry before using. For attachments, use a damp cloth to wipe down any excess hair and products.

We advise 6 steps to ensure your style lasts longer:

• Use the 30mm or 40mm Airwrap™ barrel depending on the type of curls or wave you want.
• Use high setting for heat and airflow.
• Let your hair wrap around the barrel and hold for 15 seconds, or until hair is completely dry.
• Set curl with the cold shot for 5-10 seconds. And then switch off your machine to drop the curl or wave.
• Add styling product such as hairspray to maximize curl longevity.
