The four categories of particle counted by the vacuum

Particles the size of allergens and pollen.

Pollen is commonly carried into homes on skin, hair, clothes, footwear and pets. Once inside, pollen grains and antigens accumulate in house dust, reaching a peak concentration long after pollination season. With their microscopic size and jagged shape, pet allergens can easily stick to upholstered furniture, bedding and fabrics – and often stay in the home for months as house dust, even after the pet is gone.

Particles larger than 10µm

Particles the size of microscopic dust and skin flakes.

Moulds measure up to 100µm and can be found around kitchens, windows, and other damp areas. Their spores can irritate the nose and throat, causing shortness of breath.

Particles larger than 60µm

Particles the size of
dust mites and fine sand.

House dust mites are one of the major indoor triggers for allergies and asthma. Each mite produces about 20 droppings a day, which continue to cause symptoms even after the mite has died.

Particles larger than 180µm

Particles the size of
sugar and fleas.

These larger, visible particles are trapped in the bin as soon as they enter the primary cyclone and metal mesh filter – clearing the airflow, so there’s no loss of suction.¹

Frequently asked questions

The accessories included in the V12 Detect Slim are: Hair-screw tool, Soft dusting brush, Stubborn dirt brush, Combi tool, Crevice tool, and Wand clip.

The Dyson V12 Detect Slim vacuum cleaner has a suction power of 150 AW.

Clean your filter at least once a month under running water and let it air dry for at least 24 hours or until it is completely dry. You can leave your device connected to the power supply at all times, however if you are not using it for a long time, we recommend that you unplug it and leave it in a dry and temperate place.

A good maintenance of the Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head allows you to always have high suction performance. Remove the end cap from the brush. Pull out the roller. Wash the roller under running water until it runs clear. Leave to dry in a ventilated place for at least 24 hours. Reposition only when the roller is completely dry.
