A Time of Flight sensor automatically adjusts temperature to maintain an optimal target temperature of 55°C at the scalp.2

A Hall sensor recognises each attachment as you use it and automatically adjusts to your go-to styling preferences.3

Pause detect
An accelerometer detects movement and knows when the machine is put down, deactivating the heater and decreasing airflow.
Scalp protect mode to care for your scalp
When activated, Scalp protect mode measures distance using a Time of Flight sensor, automatically reducing heat as it moves closer to your hair. To maintain a comfortable, consistent scalp temperature.² Compatible with the Gentle air attachment, Styling concentrator and Smoothing nozzle²

The Time of Flight sensor continually projects an invisible infrared beam to measure the distance between the machine and your hair.

Capsule illumination automatically changes color to indicate what heat setting you are in, depending on the distance the machine is from the hair.
Learns and adapts to your go-to styling preferences
Intelligent attachments come preset with recommended airflow and heat settings – customisable by you. Attachment learning uses a Hall sensor to know which styling attachment is connected, automatically switching to your last-used settings.

Pauses styling when you do
Pause detect uses a motion-sensing accelerometer to know when it’s put down during styling or sectioning.
