Prep hair: Before styling, ensure hair is detangled and completely dry. For best results, section hair.

Temperature: We recommend you start at the lowest temperature (165◦C) and increase it if necessary depending on your hair type and texture.

Loosen grip: Because the flexing plates shape to gather your hair, you can loosen your grip when styling, letting the machine do the work for you.

Styling speed: Flexing plates allow you to style hair in one, slow pass vs. multiple quick passes. To slow down your movements, try using one second per inch as a baseline. Speed of use may vary by hair type.

Section size: The perfect hair section size will depend on your hair type. Try a few different section sizes and see what works best for you. If you have coarse hair, begin with a smaller section. If you have fine hair, try larger sections for a smoother glide.

Position of hair in the machine: To maximize the benefits of the flexing plates, ensure your hair section is in the middle of the plates when styling.

Styling your ends: For a smooth glide, try styling the roots and mid-lengths of hair first, and style the ends last so you can take larger sections of hair. This allows the flexing plates to fully gather the section of hair.

Styling products: Finish with your favorite styling products.

The Dyson Corrale™ hair straightener has three temperature settings: 165°C, 185°C, 210°C. The optimum temperature for styling will depend on your hair type and the style you want to achieve. Extreme heat damage increases with the level of temperature you apply to your hair. We therefore recommend that you start at the lowest temperature and increase it if necessary.

The flexible plates of the Dyson Corrale™ hair straightener allow you to achieve the same style but with less heat, and therefore half the damage¹.

There are two easy ways to increase run time:

1. Remember to place the hair straightener in the charging dock whenever it’s not being used. This may in between styling hair sections. These regular boosts will increase the battery and therefore run time.

2. Should you need longer, simply attach the magnetic charging cable to style in hybrid charge mode. We recommend doing this when you hear the first battery alert or before. For the longest run time, attach the magnetic charging cable when fully charged.

Not necessarily. It depends on what style you want to achieve, how you want to achieve it and how you are used to styling. The Dyson Airwrap™ styler can be used to create natural curls from wet hair. The Dyson Corrale™ hair straightener however is a dry styler. Your preference between the two will depend on whether you like to start from wet or dry hair, the looks you’re trying to achieve and how confident you are or would like to be in using a straightener to curl your hair.

Yes. The Dyson Corrale™ straightener has a Flight-ready feature that disconnects the battery, designed to adhere to International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regulations. Please always check with your airline before you fly and place your Dyson Corrale™ hair straightener in your hand luggage. It also has Universal Voltage, so you can charge it while you're abroad.

On unboxing insert the Flight-ready tag into your straightener. This will enable your straightener's controls.

If the Flight-ready tag has been removed, carefully re-insert the tether with a pair of tweezers. You can view how to do this here.

If unable to re-insert the Flight-ready tag, cut the tether off. Take extra care not to lose the Flight-ready tag once the tether has been removed.
